Juninichi-Machi (12th Day Market)

A long-standing tradition from the Meiji period, the 12th Day Market is a yearly event in Urawa with many small shops!

  • Kakkome (miniature bamboo rakes)
    -Place: Tsuki-jinja Shrine
    -Time: 10 am-22 pm
    -Price: 1,500 yen/one
  • Stalls
    -Place: Tsuki-jinja Shrine, Tsuki-Park, and around the old Nakasendo Road
    -Number of stalls: Approx. 600
    -Sales: rakes, lucky charms, food, etc.
    -Time: [Shrine] 12 pm – 9:30 pm, [Nakasendo Road] 12 pm – 8:30 pm
    -Others: Haunted house (from about 12 pm-)
  • Where to bring old amulets / old lucky rakes
    -Place: South side of the main approach to Tsuki-jinja Shrine
    -Time: 10 am-10 pm

-There will be traffic regulations on Dec12 on surrounding streets.
-Please use public transportation.
