Taisho Period Festival

You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back a hundred years or more, back to the first opening of Yono station in 1912 in the Taisho period.

About 100 people in costumes symbolic of the Taisho period, including geisha, maiko, soldiers, modern girls, modern boys, policemen, and station employees, will parade through the streets.There will also be Awa-odori dancing, taiko drum performances, street performances, portable shrines, food stalls, hula dancing, and more.
2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the event!
