Yono Shichifukujin (Seven Gods of Fortune) Pilgrimage

The Seven Gods of Good Fortune are said to “dispel the seven hardships, and bring the seven fortunes”. On the 3rd of January, follow seven people dressed as the gods to visit seven different shrines, each honoring a different one.

Collecting of 7 pilgrim stamps
Time & Date: January 1-3, 2024 (9 am-4 pm)

During this period, you can collect commemorative stamps (100 yen per stamp) at each temple and shrine.

A sheet can be purchased at each temple and shrine.
-with 1 stamp costs 1,000 yen
-with 7 stamps cost 2,000 yen

*After Thursday, January 4, the sheet can be purchased at Okiya (1-12-19 Honmachi Nishi, Chuo-ku) along Yono-Honmachi Dori (until late January).Open Hours: 9 am-5 pm

11:30 am: Starts at Kamicho Hikawa Shrine

11:40 – 11:55: Issan Shrine

12:05 -12:40 pm: Tenso Shrine / Ceremony

12:45-1:00 pm: Ontakesha

1:10-1:25 pm: Enjoin Temple

1:35-1:50 pm: Enpukuji Temple

2:00-2:15 pm: Suzuya Taido / End of parade
