Omiya Takigi Noh (Noh theater by firelight)
Let the ambient sounds of nature, accompanied by singing flutes and drums, whisk you back to classical Japan as you enjoy Noh and Kyogen theater by firelight right inside the grounds of Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa-jinja Shrine.
The Omiya Takigi Noh was first held in May 1982 in Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Jinja-shrine to commemorate the opening of the Tohoku and Joetsu Shinkansen lines and to promote local culture and create a new tourism attraction. This year will mark the 45th of the event.
