Cartoon Art Museum

This museum is the renovated former house of the main pioneer of modern Japanese comics, Rakuten Kitazawa (1876-1955). Known as the first public museum fully dedicated to comics, features include permanent displays of political cartoons and household comics from Rakuten’s illustrious career, as well as special exhibits that change regularly. It is a great spot to include in your stroll to Bonsai Village, and one that will bring you closer to the origins of comics in Japan.
