Saitama Prefectural Museum of History and Folklore

The exterior of the museum was designed by Kunio Maekawa, a pupil of the renowned french architect Le Corbusier, who was famous for his work in Paris. The design for the museum was selected as one of the top 100 architectural marvels in Japan. There is a wide variety of objects at the museum covering Japanese history, society and art. Some of the most notable artifacts are from samurai times, including swords, illustrations, and more.

Major repairs have been completed and the museum reopened on October 14, 2023!
