Toka-Machi (10th Day Market)

A tradition dating back hundreds of years, this is a grand market of food and good luck charms, always held on the 10th day of December in Omiya.

  •  Ofuda and Fuku-kumade
    You can purchase an amulet and a lucky rake at;
    -Place: Shinsatsu awarding place at Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine
    -Time: From 0 am to 1 am, from 7:30 am to 10 pm on Dec.10
  • Stalls
    -Place: Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, Hikawa Sando Approach, and Omiya Park
    -Number of stalls: Approx. 300
    -Sales: rakes, lucky charms, food, etc.
    -Time: Saturday, Dec.9 (3 pm-10 pm) and Sunday, Dec.10 (10 am-9 pm)
    *Omiya Park stalls will be open until 9 pm on Dec.9
    *There will be no stalls on Ichinomiya-dori Street.

-There will be traffic regulations on both Dec9&10 on surrounding streets.
-Please use public transportation.
